Picture Poems by Andrew Hoyem, an illustrated catalogue of drawings
and related writings, 1961-1974, prepared by the artist and poet, published
on the occasion of an exhibition, January 18 to March 16, 1975, at the Fine
Arts Museums of San Francisco, 1975.
This, the first book of the Arion Press, was published as a catalogue
for Andrew Hoyem's one-man show of drawings at the California Palace of
the Legion of Honor under the auspices of the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic
Arts. Most of the images incorporate poetry or refer to writings by the
artist.
Format: 11-1/4 by 11-1/4 inches, 60 pages. The drawings are reproduced
by photolithography and the text is printed by letterpress in Monotype Goudy
Californian on Curtis Rag paper. The binding is brown cloth over boards
with paper label on front and spine. Edition of 500 copies, $25.00. Out of print.*
