The long expressionistic poem Lie, Sit, Stand, Be Still was written by the Beat Generation poet Michael McClure in response to studies of female nudes by the celebrated sculptor Robert Graham. The drawings were made into a suite of lithographs. The prints are interleaved with sheets bearing the poem and are presented in a portfolio box with the sculpture mounted on the lid.
Each print is numbered and signed by the artist, and the final sheet of the poem is signed by the poet. Edition of 50 copies. Price: $5,000.
